Job Overview

The following departments in the College of Arts & Sciences: Biology and Physics, are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join the team in a Program Manager role. Help with management of approximately 100+ graduate student population, admissions, orientation, scheduling and administration of exams, record keeping, and trouble-shooting. This is an in person role with the option of a hybrid schedule.

Essential Functions

• Implement policies and procedures

• Address application inquiries and coordinating the application review, acceptance, and denial processes (inclusive of all the below)

• Prepare applications for faculty review

• Prepare Grad Tracker & Graduation Audits

• Add official Decisions in Slate

• Maintain University records in Grad Tracker and Catalyst

• Serve as primary point of contact for graduate students regarding issues including but not limited to graduation, registration/enrollment, student health insurance stipends/assistantships, and academic awards and tuition

• Provide support and troubleshooting for student registration, add/drops and withdrawals

• Schedule doctoral exams and dissertations defenses

• Assist Graduate Directors in preparing grant and

• Support other administrative needs of faculty and students

• Provide troubleshooting and guidance throughout the graduation application process/work with Grad School and Grad Directors to resolve potential roadblocks to students’ graduation

• Work with student to process reinstatement/program extension/LOAs, etc.

• Other duties based on departmental need

Required Education Bachelor's Degree. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Three (3) years of relevant experience Additional Qualifications Considered

• Previous work experience in college/university environment

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to successfully work within a collaborative community

• Team mentality and willingness to collaborate with staff across the unit, college, and university

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel

• Time management and organizational skills
