The Program Manager at Ultra Maritime is responsible to provide leadership and oversight of small complexity design/development and production programs within the AntiSubmarine Warfare (ASW) Radio program portfolio. Customers include the US Navy (specifically NAVAIR/NAVSUP), Boeing, LM, and other Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) countries/entities. Products covered would include the VIPR, SWaP 2.0, and the ½ ATR radios and associated power amplifiers. Ensures contract requirements are understood and met by liaising with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Contracts and Supply Chain.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Ensures Project(s) / Program(s) performance to cost, schedule and technical requirements as well as compliance with government regulations and company policy.

Builds customer and internal team relationships.

Assists with business development group in developing competitive proposals and bids.

Provides regular presentations to leadership and internal stakeholders on project performance, including Risk and Opportunities assessment to success.

Provides day to day direction of cross functional development & manufacturing team.

Escalates business execution issues to functional leadership for adjustments to human resources, processes, commodities and tools.

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with Customers and Sponsors to ensure alignment and support.

Qualifications:

Typically, a Bachelor Degree in a related field and 3+ years of related experience in program management or experience in multiple functions working with program management.

May be required to maintain security clearance.

Desired Skills:

The ideal candidate has previous DoD experience either in a senior engineering or prior Program Management role. 

Experience with Naval communication/radios is preferred.  DoD Customer interface and contract experience is also preferred.

Expected Compensation: The expected compensation for this role is between $97,000-$115,000 annually. Please note, this is the expected compensation however, Ultra Maritime considers many factors in determining compensation prior to offer, such as: responsibilities and scope of role, candidate's work experience and education related to position, applicable certifications or trainings, business and market conditions.
