About the Role

This Isuzu co program manager will have responsibility to support product execution of Telematics projects; supported through frequent interactions with regional and remote engineering resources. The main focus is also to coordinate tasks between CAM RoJ Team members as well as between global development teams & drive the Isuzu Programs according to the established processes in our BMS.

This position has to ensure, that the JOEM processes and Lessons Learned will be introduced and established in the JOEM programs handled.

What You Will Do

Overall program lead and support for the realization of Telematics ProgramsEnsuring international and cross functional project team communicationResponsibility to deliver the product according to agreed targets (schedule, budget, quality)Control and optimize project costs (e.g. BOM, BOL, development, qualification, production preparation)Good level planning and controllingAlign technical and commercial program targets with functional departmentsResponsible for change management processes (incl. internal/external Change Control Boards)Communication interface towards OEM-customer for all aspects of technical status, program progress and product alignmentResponsible for the transition from prototyping to production incl. ramp-upActive support during RFI/RFQ-phase to compile feasibility studies and to complete product performanceReporting towards customer and internally incl. management boardProgram execution according to HARMAN Project Life Cycle Management Processes (PLM / PMI PM Book)

What You Need

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent disciplineAt least 5+ years of experience in Program Management, Program Execution & EngineeringProven project management experienceAbility to manage multifunctional teams in worldwide locationsStrong customer focus requiredKnowledge on SW/HW architectures and Mobile Wireless Technology (DSPs, ARM, Memories, Multicore processing, WiFi, 5G, 4G/LTE, 3G, CDMA, 2G, Bluetooth).Working knowledge of Telematics technologiesFluent in English/Japanese (Read, Write and Speaking) to communicate with customers.Fundamental knowledge in terms of methodologies in project managementAbility to mediate between conflict parties

What Makes You Eligible

Willingness to work in our offices in Japan (Tokyo)Willingness to travel 50% of the time both domestic (Kanagawa) and international (Thailand, IMTC, Harman development locations)This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle.  As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 yearsSuccessfully complete a background investigation/Aptitude Test as a condition of employment.
