Job Title: Project Manager
Job Description

The Project Manager will provide project management support for a variety of development, prototyping, and production programs. This individual will manage program schedules, deliverables, budgets, and timelines, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including government and industry representatives. Vendor engagement and coordination may be required. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills are necessary, along with attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Occasional travel may be needed to support program needs.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate tasks and activities related to project management.Attend test events and coordinate visits and briefings.Prepare reports and presentations.Assist analytical/technical and engineering personnel with investigations, reviews, evaluation of data, materials, components, and systems.Solve problems and prepare recommendations for implementation of solutions or modifications to meet customer requirements.Participate in technical discussions and reviews with the team and government customers.Track project metrics using Microsoft Excel and Project.Communicate with management, customers, suppliers, quality division, and others to facilitate program success.Essential SkillsProgram management experience in the aerospace or defense industry.Experience with RFP and proposal writing.PMP certification.Experience with Department of Defense or Aerospace programs.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Effective communication skills.Attention to detail.Ability to work as part of a team.Experience in guiding less experienced engineering and analytical/technical personnel.Knowledge of DoD programs, contracts, and requirements.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust be a US Citizen.Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.5-8 years of experience in project management for a defense contractor or as a DoD civilian.Knowledge of engineering development and manufacturing programs.Ability to multitask and manage multiple engineering, prototyping, and production projects simultaneously.Work Environment

Founded just outside the Cannon Gates of Picatinny Arsenal in 1996, the company is an applied armament engineering and prototyping firm with a commitment to design, craftsmanship, and performance. The company has a manufacturing and prototype shop located in Rockaway and provides services on base at Picatinny Arsenal. The individual will split their time between Rockaway and Picatinny, managing several ongoing programs and supporting contracts, RFPs, and proposals for new bids. The company specializes in munitions, weapons, system integration, and provides full lifecycle systems support to the DoD and industry partners. The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on evolving and advancing the status quo to create products that perform at the point of extreme need.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.11/hr.
