Program Manager
Summary Serves as a senior Program Manager to the US Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE)'s enterprise level Integrated Program Management Office (IPMO) for the Department of Air Force's Sentinel missile weapons system program. Performs responsibilities for exercising significant management, leadership and operational control in regional acquisition planning and execution requirements, and in determining and implementing USACE personnel and contracting capability. Responsibilities Serves as a senior Program Manager to the US Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE)’s enterprise level Integrated Program Management Office (IPMO) for the Department of Air Force's Sentinel missile weapons system program. Responsible for congressionally approved funding in excess of $1B (for an overall program amount of over $100B) and provides planning, management, and supervision of 30-40 personnel. Manages a highly unique and unusually complex/fast-paced Real Estate acquisition and management program characterized by a one-of-a-kind, large-scale real estate program initiative. Leads, manages, and supervises a team of program managers, professionals, and support staff, guiding their professional development, fostering a collaborative work environment, and aligning team efforts with broader Sentinel Program goals. Serves as a senior advisor to executive leadership on matters related to internal and external communications. Represents the USACE in planning, programming and review conferences with the Air Force to engage in real estate requirements for current execution and future plans. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of Real Estate principles sufficient to provide input on programming, planning, acquisition and design, and construction; 2) Analyzing real estate program requirements to provide recommendations for changes to real estate management procedures; 3) Communicating both orally and in writing to explain and coordinate real estate planning; and 4) Utilizing program management skills to manage the implementation of program strategies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Program Management Real Estate Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
