Program Manager
TEKsystems is looking to hire an experienced financial services program manager for one of our biggest clients in the Charlotte market! Our client is seeking candidates that have a good work history, with enterprise financial services experience in their past, who can come in and make an immediate impact to their team. Candidates must be eager to work, capable of operating in a highly regulated environment, and able to work under a TEKsystems W2. Description Our client is seeking someone who can get into the weeds and has excellent presentation skills and experience working with executives to provide status updates, track milestones, engaging stakeholders. Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple teams. Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables and Scrum team. Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration across organizations and Scrum teams to support deliverable completion within the timeline. Remove impediments to the team’s progress and shield the Scrum team from distractions, ensuring a focused work environment. Foster continuous improvement by encouraging teams to adapt and improve based on feedback from retrospectives. Manage project financials and ensure resources are allocated effectively. Gather/facilitate status updates for stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery, risks/issues, and schedule, ensuring transparency of team progress. Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is clear, prioritized, and aligned with business needs. Coach the team in Agile practices to encourage self-organization, empower team ownership of deliverables, and promote adherence to Agile methodologies. Ensure execution aligns with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders. Ensure deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards. Required Skills 10+ years of relevant experience with a strong mix of technology delivery/Program, and business understanding. Experience in Agile environments and understanding of Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum). Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion in both traditional and Agile settings. Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills – must be able to: Interact productively with team members across multiple locations and time zones. Present project health and status clearly and concisely. Engage with senior /executive-level management as needed. Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint), Jira, and SharePoint. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to learn new tools and understand the business and existing systems. Good time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
