Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Program Manager to review and select government sales opportunities and/or solicitations based on capability, competition, history, and expertise. The Program Manager will estimate labor, material costs, and profitability associated with new business ventures, and manage the full lifecycle of proposals. This includes analyzing requests, preparing responses, and collaborating effectively with SMEs. Additionally, the Program Manager will drive cross-functional teams to achieve common goals, thoroughly understand manufacturing processes, and develop positive relationships with government customers.
ResponsibilitiesReview and select government sales opportunities and/or solicitations based on capability, competition, history, and expertise.Estimate labor, material costs, and profitability associated with new business ventures.Manage the full lifecycle of proposals: analyze requests, prepare responses, and collaborate effectively with SMEs as necessary.Lead the team through a stage gate process throughout the proposal lifecycle.Drive Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to achieve common goals.Understand manufacturing processes, products, and procedures thoroughly.Develop and maintain positive relationships with Government customers.Stay current with market dynamics, including competition, pricing, and lead times.Ensure that proposals meet requirements and U.S. Government compliance standards.Implement actions to improve process efficiency, including maintaining and reporting on metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).Develop plans for continuous improvement projects.Build relationships with government and commercial customers to resolve issues and improve contract win rates.Perform other duties as needed and assigned.Travel to customers and events as required.Essential SkillsProgram managementEngineeringElectricalMechanicalExperience with US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs/DFARs)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or Economics8+ years of relevant government, contracts, and/or proposal lifecycle experienceManufacturing/production industry experienceFamiliarity with U.S. Federal Government agencies and/or procurement processesAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the aerospace defense industryWork Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
