Summary of Job Duties:The Program Manager will provide administrative and financial support to the Center for Molecular Interactions in Cancer (CMIC) and the lead administrator. Working under the supervision of the lead administrator and resource leadership, the position will support financial and administrative functions for the center. The Program Manager will play a critical role in supporting CMIC operations and research, with responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School plus 8 years of experience related to research administration  or project/program management experience OR Associate's Degree PLUS 6 years of experience related to research administration or project/program management experience

CRS certification or obtain certification within 2 years of hire, Grants Management certification or obtain certification within 2 years of hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to prepare reportsEffective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong customer service orientation.Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines\Learn and utilize various computer programsBe proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree PLUS four (4) years of project/program management experienceWorking knowledge of Workday system and Arkansas state procurement regulationsWorking knowledge of other UAMS applicationsKnowledge of NIH grant policies

Responsibilities:

Procurement

Process annual and daily purchase orders for the research center.Maintain detailed records of the status of all orders and keep faculty and staff informed of any issues, concerns, or updates.Coordinate the delivery of items, reconcile orders, and close out purchase orders accurately, including appropriate invoicing.Educate CMIC faculty and staff on procurement policies and procedures, advise on procurement and maintenance needs, and research information on products and services to secure quotes.Ensure annual contracts remain up to date and assist with grant reconciliation and closure related to procurement items.

Administrative Support

Assist research administration with tracking productivity metrics and compiling data for annual reports.Coordinate travel arrangements for UAMS employees and external parties (e.g., workshop attendees, external advisory committees).Handle other center-related administrative duties as assigned.

Financial Oversight

Monitor expense reports, track invoices and payments, and assist with annual financial closeouts.Provide basic financial oversight for the research center, ensuring accurate tracking of expenditures and budgets.Inventory and Facility ManagementManage center inventory, oversee the annual inventory reconciliation process, and coordinate the disposal of items that are no longer needed or operable.Coordinate and resolve facility-related concerns for the CMIC by working with Campus Operations and outside vendors.


Salary Information:

Commensurate with education and experience.
