Job Description
The Project Manager will support the team with project management for various development, prototyping, and production programs. Responsibilities include coordinating program schedules, deliverables, budgets, and timelines. The role requires interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including government and industry representatives, and may involve vendor engagement. Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Occasional travel is required to support program needs.
ResponsibilitiesProject management, coordination of tasks and activities, attendance at test events, coordination of visits/briefings, and preparation of reports and presentations.Assist analytical/technical and engineering personnel with investigations, reviews, evaluation of data, materials, components, and systems. Provide problem-solving and preparation of recommendations and implementation of solutions or modifications to meet customer requirements.Participate in technical discussions and reviews with the team and Government Customers.Use Microsoft Excel and Project to track project metrics.Communicate with management, customers, suppliers, and quality division to facilitate program success.Essential Skills5-8 years of experience in project management for a defense contractor or as a DoD civilian.Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.Knowledge of Engineering development and manufacturing programs.Ability to read and interpret drawings.Project Management experience with the ability to multitask and manage multiple engineering, prototyping, and production projects simultaneously.Effective communication skills and attention to detail.Ability to work as part of a team.Guide activities of less experienced engineering and analytical/technical personnel and other support personnel.Knowledge of DoD programs, contracts, and requirements.Additional Skills & QualificationsPMP certification.Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.Experience with RFP and proposal writing.Secret clearance.Work Environment
Founded just outside the Cannon Gates of Picatinny Arsenal in 1996, the company is an applied armament engineering and prototyping firm committed to design, craftsmanship, and performance. The work environment involves both a manufacturing and prototype shop located in Rockaway, as well as services on base at Picatinny Arsenal. The individual will manage several ongoing programs in addition to supporting contracts, RFPs, and proposals for new bids. The company specializes in munitions, weapons, and system integration, providing full life cycle systems support to the DoD and industry partners.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.11/hr.
