Willdan Lighting & Electric currently has an opening for an Energy Efficiency Program Manager in our New York, NY office. The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative environment with our engineering staff, program team, sales team, data analytics, and primarily client management.
Responsibilities
Drive all aspects of the program in areas that include but are not limited to program management, subcontractor recruitment and training, sales and marketing/outreach, QA/QC and inspections, energy engineering, data management, reporting, finance, and accounting.Directly and through subordinates, fulfill leadership accountability by driving the development, piloting, and implementation of short-term and long-term strategic initiatives that impact program operations and assure the highest levels of customer service.Lead the program team including setting direction, training, and reporting results to achieve successful outcomes for the Company and its clients.Coordinate across the Company to fully position the Company to achieve improved results through industry partnerships and organizations.Project management activities including regularly interfacing with internal/external clients, providing direction, and supervising junior staff.Provide strategic input into the evaluation/revision of processes, procedures, forecasting, and delivery approaches to ensure the program is consistently performing.Develop tools/means to actively monitor revenue, costs, budgets, schedules, risks, and opportunities in support of contract execution.Shepherd projects through the program process and drives resolutions to issues that may arise.Anticipate program needs with sufficient lead time to avoid delays in production.Develop and maintain an environment that fosters a high-performance culture, innovation, and a learning organization.Engagement in any and all areas critical to meeting program objectives.Requirements
Strong technical and conceptual understanding of residential/multifamily building science, energy efficiency, and utility energy efficiency programs.Experience in the LMI (low-to-moderate income) space a plus.High level of oral and written communication skills including public speaking and client and internal presentations.Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster teamwork and motivate/mentor junior staff.Business acumen, customer awareness, and ability to create value and eliminate non-value activities.Ability to perform complex analysis; an understanding of industry and regulatory trends to evaluate the impact of new developments in evolving market conditions.Mental agility: the ability to make decisions in real-time and under pressure.Adaptability: comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty.Cultural competence: the ability to think and act across the traditional boundaries of function and organizational cultures.Intellectual curiosity: a deep hunger for continuous learning, improvement, and growth.Sound reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.Degree & Certification Qualifications
