Program Manager API 

 

JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of the region-based Program Manager Strategic APIs is the :

Mitigation of business risks for global category portfolios of several hundred million € sales through development and implementation of sourcing and supply strategies for active pharmaceutical ingredients and other strategic formulation materials (Supply Continuity Plans)Lead crisis management teams on material stock shortages effecting multiple sites globally (SWAT cases). In this scope the PM-API will set up and direct multifunctional teams to develop risk mitigation strategies, manages the communication to steering boards and is accountable for the implementation of the approved measures.Realization of cost saving opportunities within the API sourcing network, by developing the implementation strategy and the supervision of the respective API change programs with sites and CMOs globally.Process owner of raw material change management for strategic APIs and formulation materials Subject matter expert for API manufacturing and sourcing evaluations.Technical Relationship Manager for the suppliers of the assigned API portfolio, taking advantage of geographic proximity whenever possible

Global scope role to manageSupply Risk Mitigation for strategic materials impacting finishedproduct sales up to several hundred million Euros.Ensure Realization of procurement savingsEnsure compliance of raw materials with international regulations andstandards by coordinating cross- functional change management teams.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Region-based PM-API is managing complex and business critical program initiatives on a global scale by directing and supervising of technical change projects for strategic APIs at Bayer sites and CMOs.Region-based PM-API takes full program or sub-project responsibility upon assignment.PM-API coordinates and directs multifunctional project teams (e.g.procurements, quality and regulatory affairs) to ensure availability, cost competitiveness and GMP compliance of strategic materials such as APIs.Region based PM-API is managing the supplier selection and implementation process after ideation upon assignment. The program manager API is responsible for the development of the global implementation strategy, including cost benefit analysis, presentation of sourcing proposal to management boards and the implementation of the approved strategy at sites and CMOs
