Program Manager Coding Compliance and Auditing, Day Shift, Organizational Integrity

As a Program Manager of Coding Compliance and auditing, you will:
• Serves as leader conducting a high volume of coding compliance audits across Adventist HealthCare (AHC) in accordance with the Department Work Plan.
• Developments, updates, maintains and disseminates training and education materials to AHC clinicians, managers, and coding department staff. Provide material and conduct presentations for Compliance education programs as needed.
• Provides supervision to the Compliance Coding Auditor and directs day-to-day activities.
• Performs independent research, and assessment and remains current with CMS, NGS Medicare, and Office of Inspector General (OIG) regulations, guidelines, bulletins, coding practices & methods, annual, semi-annual, and quarterly coding updates, and other publications for impact on Institutional services.
• Provide recommendations and feedback to leaders to improve and optimize compliant coding, billing, or documentation practices. Respond to all inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned in support of the AHC Organizational Integrity/Compliance Program

Qualifications include:
• Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field preferred
• 3-5 years job related experience in a Compliance Auditing position.
Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient coding experience (In Maryland preferred)
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience. .
• Advanced knowledge and experience with rules and regulations pertaining to federally funded programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) along with knowledge of documentation requirements for coding and billing.
• Strong ability to engage/interact with leadership, writing and analysis skills, and autonomous/self-starter.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Must have one of the following current certifications:
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS),
• Certified Coding Specialist – Physician (CCS-P)
• Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
• Certified Outpatient Coder (COC),
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC),
• Certified Risk Coder (CRC),
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC),
• Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP),
• Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).

Pay Range:

$71,932.12 - $107,889.60

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
