Decommissioning Program Manager -- Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. - Erwin, TN
Summary Description of Job:
Executes proposals and manages contracts by directing efforts within the NFS organization to result in the timely, efficient, and accurate supply of materials and services in accordance with the contract terms. Possesses profit and loss responsibility for individual projects or collective programs. Acts as the primary contact for proposal and contract activities with both internal and external customers from the start of the project through completion. Leads NFS in pursuing and acquiring contracts with the Decommissioning Program. Supports corporate business development and strategic plan objectives as assigned.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Possesses profit and loss responsibility for individual project, multiple projects or collective programs with a combined annual average contract value of $200m or greater. Represents NFS to all contract stakeholders.
2. Works with departments throughout the organization to achieve contract and company objectives.
3. Understands and prepares interpretations of financial reporting and forecasting, assists with financial management by developing revenue, cash flow, and cost projections and taking actions to maximize profit while meeting corporate and contract objectives and requirements for safety, quality, and schedule.
4. Leads team in preparing and submitting solicited and unsolicited proposals and negotiating contract with customer; negotiates contract changes, claims, and other contractual issues arising during contract performance.
5. Authors technical and commercial presentations and other materials used to communicate with customers, potential customers, Naval Reactors, Naval Nuclear Laboratories, Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc., and other stakeholders.
6. Prepares purchase authorizations/subcontracts following customer specifications and NFS procedures.
7. Maintains contract risk assessments and responsible for updating as conditions change and ensuring adequate mitigation is in place.
8. Develops talent and provides guidance to other program managers as needed to accomplish objectives.
9. Leads team to develop alternative technical and commercial strategies to solve complex project problems.
10. Develops detailed plans to support corporate business development or strategic planning objectives.
Education:
B. S. -- Engineering, Technical or Business discipline OR B. S. degree in a non-technical area with 18 years of project or program management experience.
Experience Requirements (Beyond educational or equivalent):
A minimum of 15 years' experience with a technical degree or 18 years if non-technical degree. Experience in two or more of the following areas is desired: Naval Reactors fuel manufacturing, process engineering, manufacturing management, safety, quality control, laboratory or project management. Must have critical skills of developing strong working relationships, communicating using a variety of methods, negotiating, understanding complex technical issues, and independently managing competing priorities.
Pay: $156,000 - $233,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $156,000 and $233,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
