Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Program Manager for this exciting opportunity to oversee the long-term management and growth of our Federal portfolio in the Mid-Atlantic, Baltimore-Washington Region. The selected candidate will take over an existing portfolio of large capacity multi-year contracts, work with business line leadership to develop and lead a dedicated project management team, oversee multiple project task orders from an executive level, develop and track pipeline and oversee compliance with regulatory and company standards, regulations, and quality assurance programs.

The primary responsibilities for the Federal Program Manager include:

Manage and lead federal projects and programs, for the Department of State Overseas Bureau, General Services Administration, Social Security Administration, or other Federal AgenciesBuild and lead successful program management teamsClosely collaborate with other Architecture, Engineering, and General Contractor firmsManage and direct professional and technical staff to complete complex architectural and engineering projectsDirect and lead teams to achieve contractual performance and financial milestones across the lifespan of multiyear / multitask order contractsManage aspects of a program such as oversight of project managers, oversight of project controls, or similarProvide direction and oversight to AECOM staff and subcontractors

Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Analyze financial statements and completes budget trackingThe position will work independently and have minimal direction, periodically reporting to internal regional, and Buildings + Places managementOversee the preparation of work plans and organizes project studiesPerform complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project teamConduct reviews and provide staff feedback for continued improvementBusiness development responsibilities include the development of pipelines, arranging teaming partnerships, building strategic growth plans, and developing client engagement plansOversee and develop technical approaches and cost estimates for proposalsPrepare, coordinate, and conduct project meetings: Prepare and maintain the agenda and the meeting minutesHelp develop and maintain project schedule, project budget and risk registerReview Design Documents and Coordinate Design reviews with various stakeholdersManage more complex projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS in Architecture or Engineering plus eight (8) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationDue to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

12 years of experience managing projects and programsLicensed PE or RA is highly preferredFamiliarity with Federal-Civilian and DoD agencies, installations, missions, and culturesExisting relationship with Federal clients in the Baltimore-Washington RegionExperience with Design-Build delivery and partnering with General ContractorsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and Coordinate with multiple stakeholdersAbility to communicate at a high level with senior leaders within AECOM and/or the client's organizationFamiliar with project invoicing and cash flow managementDetail-oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skillsSuperior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences
