Roles Overview
Ensure program objectives are met in accordance with GE Aerospace's Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) priorities.Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality, to achieve program milestones and deliverables.Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to address any deviations from the plan.Monitor and track program variances and ensure actions to resolve variances are completed in a timely manner.Communicate program status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the program team.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements.Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for program-related matters.Identify and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.Support the development and implementation of lean principles and practices within the program.Track and report status of hardware development and builds during the life of the program.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 4 years of experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager, Product Manager or Engineering Manager preferably within the aerospace or defense industry.This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.Ability to quickly obtain relevant security clearances.Ability and willingness to travel frequently to both customer and internal locationsDesired Qualifications
Background in avionics systems integration, hardware, software development.Deep domain expertise in life cycle development for high design assurance programs as a Product Manager or Engineering.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Independent, self-starter that can proactively manage a variety of external and internal stakeholders and achieve business growth.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.Knowledge of lean principles and practices is highly desirable.Some of our competitive benefits package includes:
