Program Manager - Grants and Organizational Giving

Our hospitals, care sites and clinicians are recognized for clinical and operational excellence. **PROGRAM MANAGER, GRANTS & ORGANIZATIONAL** **GIVING** Reporting directly to the Director, Grants & Organizational Giving, the Manager, Grants & Organizational Giving manages all aspects of fundraising from private foundations, government grants, corporations, and/or other grant- awarding bodies. Identifies, cultivates and manages the relationships with key institutional funders. Responsible for submission, reporting and oversight of pre/post award activity of funds granted. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** + Secure grant support from government sources, foundations and corporations that require grant proposals and applications by researching, developing application and budgets, writing complex narratives, and managing grants from government funders as well as cultivating, soliciting, writing proposals, and stewarding grants from private funders. + Facilitate interdepartmental and interdisciplinary teams at market level for each segment of grant cycle, including application, award, program and expenditure monitoring, reporting/compliance and evaluation + Collaborates with System Director and Grant Professional team to identify and secure system level or multi-market grant opportunities. + Provides education and technical guidance to clinical administrators, medical staff, foundation team, and others as appropriate in relation to preparation and submission of grants and monitoring of awards + Works closely with Foundation Solutions Group project directors and operational performance team to monitor all grant-funded program activities, expenditures, and reporting. Prepares and submits invoices. + Working closely with Foundation Solutions Group and other staff to ensure all grants and contracts meet institutional, local, state, federal and sponsor guidelines, rules, policies and laws, especially 2 CFR 200 + Works closely with operational performance team and Project Directors to monitor and ensure grant-funded programs activities and expenditures are tracked and reported appropriately. Reviews and submits funder reports, evaluations, and other correspondence as required. + Other duties as assigned by Director of Grants and Organizational Giving + This document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. Employees may be required to perform other job-related duties as required by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation. **REQUIRED** + Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years related experience is required + Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required + Demonstrated success in identifying and securing private and public foundation, government and corporate support. Demonstrated skills of cultivating, soliciting, writing proposals, and stewarding grants from private funders and in researching, developing application and budgets, and managing grants from government funders. + Proven critical thinking and strategic planning experience. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with senior level executive experience. Demonstrated level of accomplishment in discerning fundable programs and appropriate matches with funding sources. Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the Foundation to external audiences using strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. + Knowledge of research tools and techniques for identifying institutional funding opportunities. Knowledge of compliance issues and legal requirements of restricted organizational grant funding. Strong editing skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage, budget and forecast contributions and related expenses required. + Passion for the mission and enjoys leading and collaborating with a development staff and working with volunteer boards. A strong work ethic with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
