Use image and video editing software for marketing activities, events, and audience engagement. Provide graphic design, branding and marketing for multiple programs and affiliated collaborators, cores, and working groups. Use expertise and resources in current trends and technologies to ensure program presence remains relevant and effective with the intent to grow the community of followers, while monitoring and evaluating the performance of the program’s website and multiple social media platforms. Position Qualifications and Preferred Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience (2:1 ratio) Preferred Experience: • 1-3 years of graphic design experience. Agency background is a plus • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) • Basic understanding of UI & UX design principles Additional Qualifications: • Attention to detail • Good time management and multitasking abilities • Effective communication skills • Ability to work independently or in team setting as applicable Department Summary: The Department of Medicine’s Division of Infectious Diseases is dedicated to enhancing the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases through discovery and application of new knowledge that is integrated with the mentorship of trainees to become the next generation of national leaders in the field. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy. + Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written). + Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a social way while cultivating engagement opportunities. + Analyze key metrics and adjust strategies to meet program goals. + Collaborate with other areas to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions. + Develop and expand community and influencer outreach efforts. + Develop design (e.g., cover images, profile pictures, and content layout). + Design and create social ad campaigns, monitoring and reporting on their effectiveness. + Stay updated with the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies. + Provide regular reports on social media performance and suggest improvements. + Assist with general administrative responsibilities (i.e. coordinating meetings, events, activities) as assigned to the Program team.
