Position Summary:

The Program Manager oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between the customer and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and facilitates integrated team resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Follows documented tools for monitoring project progress, assessing and mitigating risk, and problem solving. Integrates and communicates status with project team, management, and customers.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing progress, identifying and troubleshooting bottlenecks, collecting status, communicating changes and urgent needs, and facilitating cross-functional cooperationDevelop, plan, coordinate, and implement program milestone and delivery schedules incorporating customer, supplier, and internal delivery datesCoordinate with Planning, Production Control, Procurement, Quality, and New Business/Estimating during program start-up to develop and communicate program  first lot tracking planSupport customer with risk assessment and mitigation plans; Coordinate work-around and expediting plans internally and communicate progress with team members, customer, and managementManage and/or facilitate customer/program relationships from contract award through life cycle of a programManage contractual commitments and identify cost issues to meet expected program marginsManage customer interface, host visits, and travel occasionallyConduct "lessons learned" activities and provide process improvement feedback internally and to customerMay occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as assigned

 

Required Skills:

Experience & Education
