Leads product commercialization process (PCP)/new product development and introduction through the phase-gate process, which includes scope, schedule, risks, issues, trade-offs, communications, and expectations.
Represents the organization in assuring the teams follow product development guidelines, and in some cases align with specific regulatory requirements, as they lead program teams through PCP. This includes design control and long-term product supportability as well as delivering business value.
Leads with the goal of delivering a product of high quality and value to the organization and delivers within the agreed upon project contract metrics of schedule, resources, budget and scope.

A Day in the Life:
Lead, manage, coordinate, synchronize, and be accountable for the execution of programs from Customer Engagement through Product Delivery, Launch and Program Closure.Act as an information link between the Core Team and Sr. Management. Influence others in a highly matrixed organization.Prepare and present formal Program Reviews as well as updates to Sr. Leadership; initiates Exception Reviews as required.Lead Core Teams to define and prioritize scope, objectives, and requirements.Plan resource requirements and allocations and identify Core Team resources with functional managers.Develop accurate, actionable, and cross-functionally integrated program plans based on business goals, constraints, and risk tolerance.Drive risk assessment, communication, proactive mitigation planning, and contingency response planning.Regularly track, monitor, and communicate team progress against requirements and plans; resolve deviations; schedule and lead recurring Core Team meetings.Assist Core Team Members in resolving extended team and functional challenges.Collaborate and coordinate across all the functional areas (R&D, Product Management, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Operations, Manufacturing, Service and Support and others) to insure successful program outcomes.Lead, document, and communicate constructive lessons-learned analysis of completed programs.Establish relationships with Core and Extended Team Members, functional managers, senior management, and customers.Keys to Success:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific subject area or related field of study, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree a plus.Experience:
Minimum 5 years of product development experience in Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology or Medical Devices.Minimum 2 years of program/ project management experience. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Office Suite.Phase-gate product development process experience.Voice of Customer (VOC) experience preferred.PMP certification preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $91,700.00–$125,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
