Program Managers oversee the day-to-day operations of residential program, providing leadership, guidance, and clinical support. As a program manager, you will ensure a safe and welcoming environment where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are treated with dignity and respect. The program manager is responsible for coordinating any services needed by the residents, such as appointments and assistive technology. You will be responsible for upkeep of the program, monitoring the program’s budget, and medication administration and management. The program manager also manages the staff schedule to ensure program coverage and serves on-call as needed. The program manager monitors trainings for all program staff and conducts regular staff meetings. Program managers work closely with parents and/or guardians to best support each resident. Additionally, program managers plan outings for program residents.

Minimum Education Required High School Diploma/GED Responsibilities

 

Organize staff and staffing functions to provide appropriate and efficient consumer contact, services, and satisfaction.

Monitor scheduling of staff across the program to ensure economy and efficiency of consumer contact and program coverage.Manage administrative processes and requirements in consultation with the Director of Clinical Services Provide on-site management of administrative operations Complete weekly supervision to assistant manager and case managersConduct bi-weekly staff meetingsAttend weekly Leadership Meetings Complete monthly billing (SDR’s) for the IHS programEnsure that performance evaluations are conducted for all employees.Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.Ensure health and safety of individuals and staff through compliance with agency policies, OSHA and other safety standards.Monitor together with the assistant manager individual support plans to ensure they are person-centered and support the individual’s life goals.Ensure training for all staff in agency and division mission and values and monitor implementation.Ensure that the clinical integrity of the Individual Support Program and services are maintained.Ensure that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates, Inc. Human Rights policies.Attend trainings assigned; maintain necessary certifications to include, CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety)Perform physical intervention in the event of a client crisis.Ensure that staff receives appropriate certifications and training to perform duties adequately.Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or two years of administrative/program experience.  Experience with administrative functions including supervision of staff, hiring, terminations, staff development and evaluation.  Familiarity with state human service systems and related treatment philosophy.Fluency in American Sign Language.  Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.Ability to communicate effectively in writingAbility to read English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the program to which they are assigned.Strong computer skills.Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and as well as work independently Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-taskOutstanding reasoning and problem-solving abilities.High energy level and superior interpersonal skills.Must hold a valid drivers’ license.  Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
