Program Manager IV
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

This position typically reports to the VP of Sustainment (or other delegated organizational leader) and is responsible for the planning, managing and technical performance of one or more established engineering program(s) contained at a single location. The Program Manager of Aviation Safety is responsible for the management of safety and compliance activities related to the applicable aviation operations governing regulations (e.g. FAA, DCMAI 8210, EMAR 145, Contractor Flying Approved Organization Scheme (CFAOS), etc.).

Program Manager will directs all phases of program(s) from initiation through delivery. Applies established technologies that require advanced principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems. Typically accomplishes objectives through subordinate managers. Responsible for decisions that could have an extended impact on outcomes where erroneous decisions could result in critical delays and modifications to programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the Aviation Safety GroupServe as Aviation Safety Official (ASO) for specific GA-ASI locationsServe as Flight Safety Officer (FSO) for specific programs or locationsMaintain oversight of the company Aviation Safety ProgramMaintain day to day management of the Aviation Safety Management System (ASMS)Oversee and conduct safety audits at Contiguous United States (CONUS) and OCONUS locations to meet company and government requirementsOversee and manage the incident and hazard reporting processes including chairing incident and hazard review boardsOversee damage cost tracking mechanismsChair the quarterly Aviation Safety Council meetingsSupervise Safety Investigation Boards (SIB)Ensure various safety and operational compliance regulations, GA-ASI instructions are maintained and disseminated to all stakeholdersManage the Sustainment Flash Report processOversee production of safety communication for all operating locationsEnsure management is notified of critical hazard and incidentsEnsure adequate archiving and processes are in placeEnsure key personnel are trained on the ASMS and the contents of the ASMMEnsure adequate safety resources are available to support the operation of the ASMSManage cost associated with direct and indirect charge labor and other direct and indirect cost (travel etc.) in support of Aviation Safety requirements.Other duties as assigned or required.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
