Program Manager of Asset Management

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Program Manager, Asset Management, is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of asset management programs to optimize the lifecycle and performance of company assets. This includes managing teams, aligning with cross-functional departments, developing strategies, and monitoring KPIs to ensure optimal asset utilization and cost-effectiveness. The Program Manager will serve as a key driver in implementing asset management policies, maintaining compliance, and ensuring that all assets are efficiently utilized to support the company's overall goals.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Program Leadership & Execution:

Develop and lead comprehensive program plans with timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with project stakeholders as it relates to Asset Management. Collaborate with assigned resources from engineering, product management, and other departments to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within scope. Partner with sourcing, finance, procurement, operations, and additional teams to align asset management efforts across divisions. Ensure effective communication between teams regarding asset requirements, status, and management processes. Provide leadership in guiding teams to meet technical, budgetary, and timeline goals, while working within a matrix structure. Track and report on program progress, risks, and solutions to leadership, stakeholders, and other partners. Facilitate meetings, status reports, and executive reviews to communicate progress and secure input from senior management.

 

Fleet & Operations Excellence Management:

Develop policies and procedures to support field operations Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of modular, storage, and other product classes across North America Maximize return of assets focusing on ROI, utilization and total cost of ownership Consults on asset capital expenditures within plan and company performance targets Manages Fleet mix composition (age & category) within fleet operations to maximize returns in all markets and capitalize on growth opportunities

 

Sourcing Support:

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with global suppliers to ensure high-quality products at the best possible price. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers across the globe, driving cost savings and mitigating risks through supplier diversification and performance management. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast sourcing needs and ensure alignment with business objectives. Oversee the setup and management of quality control processes for newly sourced manufacturers, ensuring consistency in product standards.

 

Product Development & Engineering Support:

Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to ensure product specifications meet customer and regulatory requirements. Drive design reviews and manage engineering resources to ensure timely delivery of design modifications to meet evolving building codes. Provide leadership in guiding teams to meet technical, budgetary, and timeline goals, while working within a matrix structure.

 

Risk Management:

Conduct regular supplier evaluations to assess performance on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance. Implement risk mitigation strategies related to asset integrity, safety, and delivery. Conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance and continuously improve asset management practices.

 

Quality & Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset performance and cost-efficiency. Leverage data analytics and feedback to identify improvement opportunities and optimize asset management processes. Promote innovation in asset management through research, pilot programs, and partnerships. Partner with the quality assurance team to develop and enforce quality control standards for all sourced materials. Conduct regular audits and assessments of suppliers' facilities and processes to ensure compliance and operational excellence. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees preferred. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

 

Experience:

5+ years of project management, sourcing, or supply chain management experience. 5+ years of direct or vendor leadership experience. Proven track record in leading multi-project programs, including product development and design modification initiatives. Experience with sourcing in manufacturing and construction industries is preferred. Proven experience in leading reshoring or similar initiatives, especially involving structural and mechanical engineering aspects. Experience with sourcing tools and procurement software (SAP preferred).

 

Skills:

Strong project management skills, with an ability to lead cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across departments and with senior leadership. Strong financial acumen and budget management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong presentation and communications skills and experience.
