Job Title Program Manager P12 Agency Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service Department 4-H Youth Development Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description Job Description Summary The Program Manager, under direction, plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the Texas 4-H Youth Development and Collegiate EduNation program. The role acts as a liaison between the two programs. Responsibilities + Plans, organizes, directs and manages day-to-day activities, developing and implementing procedures for the administration of the program. + Serves and supports all identified CEN school districts. + Assists in developing strategic plans and goals to support the program. + Assists with the development and production of materials designed for the program. + Develops and conducts programs including leadership training, conferences, seminars and workshops that will advance youth development and educational efforts in rural communities and make presentations as needed to various audiences. + Researches, develops and writes white papers, grant applications and prepares presentations. Maintains and develops communications between partners by attending meetings and conference calls. + Advises local school research director on age-appropriate topics, ensuring alignment with subject matter, methodology and community needs. + Connects teachers and research directors with experiential learning opportunities such as field days, tours, and interactions with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Specialists or Research Scientists. + Coordinates communication between county Extension agents, 4-H Specialists, and Extension subject matter experts with local ISD personnel. + Coordinates project-based learning activities with ISD personnel. + Ensures the enrollment of CEN ISD students in the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program. + Coordinates marketing efforts with appropriate CEN and Extension personnel. + Exposes all CEN students to the various opportunities of the Texas 4-H Program. Qualifications Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Five years of related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills. + Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment. + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
