Administrative support person for Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s sepsis program. Works with ED, critical care, and inpatient leaders and team members to support the sepsis program.

Responsibilities
* Early Identification: Assist with creation, review, and implementation of screening protocols to identify sepsis early in high-risk patients.
* Timely Intervention: Assist nurses and physicians/APPs to ensure timely administration of antibiotics, fluid resuscitation, and other critical interventions within the SEP-1 guidelines.
* Care Coordination: Coordinate care among emergency department, ICU, and other relevant departments to streamline the management of sepsis patients and required documentation.
* Education and Training: Conduct regular training sessions for clinical staff on sepsis recognition and management protocols.
* Data Collection and Analysis: Monitor compliance with SEP-1 metrics, analyze outcomes, and provide feedback to clinical teams.
* Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives based on data analysis and best practice implementation to continually enhance sepsis management protocols.
* Patient Centered Care: Ensure that treatment plans are aligned with patient’s goals, improving overall care experience.
* Innovation in Care Delivery: Leverage the latest in predictive modeling and diagnostic tests that improves early recognition of sepsis
* Staff empowerment: Engage and empower staff by involving them in the decision-making process and providing opportunities for growth and professional development
* Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree with 5 years of nursing experience
* Previous experience working in data abstraction or quality improvement desired
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
* Ability to take initiative, make decisions, and act autonomously .
* Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple requests at once .
* Must be comfortable with new program development.
* Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt preferred
* Critical Care or Emergency Department experience preferred
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required upon hire and as applicable, higher level per unit certification requirements as stated on the grid attached to the AHA and Life Support Policy
