Job Description

Adesta, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Program Manager - Telecom. The Program Manager functions to ensure that the program to which they are assigned is successful and arrive at a profitable completion. The Program Manager is responsible for overall program progress, contract management, cost control, financial reporting, scheduling, quality assurance and control, and safety. Also responsible for overseeing and managing all staff for the program.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the on-time and on-budget completion of the program and associated projectsEnsure the contract and customer requirements are fulfilled, and plays a key part in contract management and business process efficienciesServe as the primary contact for the customer on issues related to the programManage various internal meetings, agendas, and coordinate development of presentations for monthly full-team meetingsEnforce a strict safety program that focuses on accident prevention; maintains a safe work environment for employees, subcontractors, visitors, and the general public. Monitors compliance with the company’s safety policiesEnsure that all activities on the program are conducted in such a way that protects company assets and adheres to company policies and proceduresManage the preparation of strategic plans, budgets, reports, and financial forecastsManage the staff at the program location to include hiring, training, evaluating, counseling, and, if necessary, terminating; assesses manpower needs and adjusts the staff appropriatelySupplement the Business Development and Project Development Departments in identifying and developing new business opportunities; assists in contacting, qualifying, and pursuing leads for new business opportunities; prepares estimates and proposals as necessary for potential new work

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess one or more of the following:Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering with a minimum of three (3) years of construction-based experienceTechnical Associate degree in electronics with a minimum of seven (7) years of construction-based experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of construction-based work experienceMust have five (5) years of progressively more responsible telecom, fiber optic field construction and management experienceWork experience with Program Management, project management, site acquisition, zoning and construction is requiredMust have construction field management, contract management, project oversight responsibility, QA/QC, scheduling, estimating and subcontract management experiencePrior work experience in a supervisory/management-level roleAbility to read, analyze, and interpret construction contracts, construction drawings and specifications, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documentsAbility to effectively present information to upper management and public groups as necessary both in written or oral formatsCommunicate effectively in both oral and written English technical language, both in interpreting requirements and providing reportsGood customer service abilities along with refined grammar skills; position may require a lot of interaction with other departments and field employees and outside calls are frequently fielded and must be handled in a professional mannerAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Seven (7) years or more of Telecom experienceWork experience that includes construction field management, contract management, project oversight responsibility, QA/QC surveillance and/or estimating
