Program Operations Leader
Job Description SummaryGE HealthCare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced operations leader to oversee our Early Talent Cohort Engineering Program (full-time and internship). The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing young talent, a strong background in operations management, and the ability to drive program success through strategic planning and execution.

GE HealthCare’s Edison Engineering Development Program is a two-year experience to develop our future engineering leaders. The Operations Leader will report to the Global Program Manager and support the conduct of the US program as well as setting and sharing best practice structure and communication for the global program. The Operations Leader will be responsible for building and maintaining program blueprint, reporting dashboards, shaping standard operating procedures for key program activities (e.g., payments, committee reporting, business communications), maintain monthly operating statistics, own the program operating calendar, and streamline program communications.

The position will require proficiency in Microsoft Excel, fluency with Box and Teams, and familiarity with GE HealthCare tools (payments, scheduling, DLs, charters) and organizational structure.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence: Ensure the program operates efficiently and effectively, meeting all key performance indicators and objectives.

Build and improve SOPs for program operational tasks and document in program resource pages.

Build and own program trackers including class lists, distribution lists, and assignment mapping.

Own EEDP operating calendar including documenting, sharing, simplification and maintenance.

Schedule identified training events including working with internal instructors/stakeholders, identifying and booking conference rooms/sites, and tracking participation.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, mentors, trainers, program members, and industry partners.

Engage with early talent leadership team and stakeholders to share updates, solicit feedback, and build best practices.

Support EEDP member committees in planning and event execution.

Budget Management: Document and manage the program budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support program goals.

Establish closed loop communications and operations including but not limited to strategic planning and payments.

Reporting and Analysis: Monitor program performance, prepare regular reports, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Compliance: Ensure the program adheres to all relevant regulations and company policies.

Collaborate with team members on other projects as assigned.

Manage and prioritize work on multiple simultaneous projects.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably including talent development which may include prior work with GE HealthCare.

Independent drive with strong ability to collaborate.

Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

Experience with program evaluation and continuous improvement methodologies.

Passion for developing talent and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel.

Extensively organized, accountable, and with a strong ability to execute to a plan.

Willingness to be in-person in Waukesha, WI for hybrid working conditions with potential limited travel to other local GE HealthCare facilities to support team activities.

Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, drive, and perform independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Deep prior experience with operations and communication tools within a matrixed organization including communication, scheduling, charters, dashboards, and project management.

Ability to work with employees and stakeholders of different experience levels.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Experience supporting a global team.

Experience leading meetings.

Knowledge of LP Bridge, Workday, or equivalent HR tools.

10+ years supporting GEHC or GE businesses.

Experience with GE HealthCare buildings, facilities, and an existing GEHC network.

Experience designing, running, and leading in-person and virtual team meetings.

Positive past performance reviews.
