**UW Medical Center-Montlake - Digestive Health Center** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Program Operations Specialist.** **WORK SCHEDULE**

+ Grow in your healthcare career by overseeing process improvement **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** The Digestive Health Center at UW Medical Center - Montlake offers a full range of consultations and procedures for the care of digestive disorders and problems of the gastrointestinal system. Conditions treated include abdominal pain, gastroesophageal reflux disease, swallowing disorders, celiac disease, nutrition disorders, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, disorders of the pancreas and bile ducts, and functional gastrointestinal and motility disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Responsible for organizing and independently coordinating the administrative operations and revenue cycle operations of the assigned clinic and procedure area
+ Assist in formulating strategies for monitoring and assuring quality and quality improvement
+ Recognizes operational problems and takes action to correct specific problems in partnership with clinic leadership and team members
+ Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of clinic workflows, processes, policies, and procedures as well as UWMC policies and procedures
+ Acts as a liaison between clinics, other hospital departments, UW Medicine system and community resources
+ oversight of the High Level Disinfection work in partnership with the Nurse Manager for the two HLD areas within Digestive Health Center
+ Responsible for maximizing clinical efficiency of the practice through capacity management
+ Oversees front-end revenue cycle functions including registration, insurance verification, referrals, surgical scheduling, authorizations, time of service collections, and charge entry while utilizing available tools and resources
+ Taking a proactive approach to job functions; anticipates problems and seeks solutions
+ Assume additional responsibilities as needed for practice expansion/enhancement **REQUIREMENTS**
+ At least four (4) years of experience working in the front office of a medical clinic or procedural setting, preferably with lead experience **OR**
