Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Planning & Scheduling Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.

What You’ll Get To Do:
The Program Planning & Scheduling Manager will have accountability for developing, maintaining, implementing and continuously improving EVMS compliant scheduling processes across all Segment operations to include MS Project Server and Oracle Primavera P6 environments and all program phases from early investment through sustainment and deactivation. They will also be responsible for overseeing a team of analysts supporting Segment activities including but not limited to training development, proposal and strategy support, and specific MS Project / Primavera interfaces in support of monthly deliverable (IPMDAR) generation. Additionally, the Scheduling Manager will be responsible for ensuring the scheduling implementation meets the reporting requirements along with providing analysis on metrics to provide insight into process excellence and continual improvement. Will provide day to day support to assigned segment and assigned team with guidance, troubleshooting, and satisfying programmatic requirements. Will manage multiple priorities and set expectations with the team. The Planning and Scheduling manager will advise segment and program business managers on integrating project schedules with Earned Value Management and support internal and external reviews and audits. This is an on-site position with minimal travel requirements.
Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives.
Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality.
Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.
Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related experience - OR - Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Experience in Program Planning and Scheduling tools
Experience using Microsoft office suite, such as Excel, Word, and Power Point
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
MBA
Experience with program planning tools - Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Open Plan, Acumen Suite
Earned Value proficiency including EIA-748 standard and working on EV compliant projects
Experience with earned value tools such as Cobra
Prior people management experience - including hiring, developing and retaining a high performing team
Previous Aerospace/Defense industry experience related to program planning and control
Experience with Work Breakdown Structures and MIL-STD-881
Experience supporting/coordinating internal and external surveillance audits including integrated baseline reviews
Familiarity with the NDIA's Planning and Scheduling Excellence Guide
Familiarity with Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Report (IPMDAR).
Experience with proposal activities including bids, bid reviews, and internal projects
Experience with Schedule and Risk integration - including SRAs
Excellent communications skills and ability to solve difficult problems and make appropriate decisions
Ability to work independently and set clear objectives in a dynamic team environment

Salary Range: $119,300.00 - $178,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
