Program Scientist 2, Immunology + Job Number: 24542 + Functional Area: Research - Engineering + Department: Department of Biological Engineering + School Area: Engineering + Employment Type: Full-Time + Employment Category: Exempt + Visa Sponsorship Available: No + Schedule: Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Posting Description PROGRAM SCIENTIST 2, IMMUNOLOGY, Biological Engineering (BE), to help launch and expand a major new program in Engineering Women’s Health; assist in coordinating several interdisciplinary, multi-investigator projects centered on developing, implementing, and broadly disseminating new immunological assays that capture features of human pathophysiology; facilitate the day-to-day collaboration of the immunological and computational tool development teams with the engineering and clinical teams; and assist in strategic planning for creating a core facility, preparing grants and reports, technical content, and organizing contributions from other team members, among other tasks. Find the full job description here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ynx2jqk5p5lqdawh1fiea/Program-Scientist\_Immunology\_Position-Description.pdf?rlkey=4chbrav0fjhah3o1d6pkebcni&st=k25qwi6a&dl=0 Job Requirements REQUIRED: PhD in immunology or related discipline; a minimum of four years of postdoctoral experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience in managing interdisciplinary research collaborations; a record of peer-reviewed publications; ability to analyze literature and information and think critically and strategically about research directions; solid critical thinking and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and show initiative toward identifying and solving technical challenges; experience with clinical data or clinical study design; excellent attention to detail and the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment; and the ability to develop a strong understanding of the research scope and facilitate research goals. PREFERRED: Interest in or experience with gynecological, gastrointestinal, or endocrine research; proficiency with grant writing, time management, and experience with submission of grant proposals; project management experience; experience writing and developing external communications, including social media presence; and prior experience managing interdisciplinary research collaborations in academia and industry.
