Program Specialist, Transformation

Purpose of the Role

As a Transformation Program Specialist reporting to the Head of Transformation in Chubb Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in driving key transformation initiatives that support business growth and enhance operational efficiency for Chubb Singapore’s consumer and commercial lines. You will collaborate with stakeholders across all functions, managing a variety of projects—from large-scale transformations to addressing high priority day-to-day challenges faced by teams across the organization.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities 

Strategic Alignment

Understands and aligns with the strategic direction set by senior management, translating it into actionable goals and objectives within initiatives. Propose, gain agreement on, then track and monitor success metrics to establish ownership of business solutions delivered, ensure post-implementation sustainability, and encourage accountability of results.

Project and Initiative Management

Executes project management functions, including planning and driving implementation - overseeing requirements, development, testing, and checking for quality and completeness before handover to Business-as-Usual (BAU) teams. Develops the overall implementation plan, manage timelines, and facilitates implementation efforts across the different teams. Identifies, manages, and strategizes mitigation for cross-team risks, escalating unresolved issues to appropriate channels as necessary

Stakeholder Management

Works closely with stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements, gather and analyze information, then collaboratively address pain points and identify opportunities for implementation. Acts as a liaison between Business and Support departments, such as Operations, Claims, Finance, and IT both locally and regionally, and facilitates workshops/meetings to steer discussions towards gaining agreement on requirements and issues. Provides regular status updates and reports on project progress, health, and governance to various stakeholders, at the appropriate level of detail to the intended audience

Process Analysis

Discovers processes and identifies key data points using various frameworks and techniques, including time-and-motion studies. Develop and maintain technical and business knowledge related to processes, system interfaces, functionalities, and business models. Documents standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes comprehensively, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders. Documents current ("as-is") and desired ("to-be") processes, conduct gap analyses and propose improvement opportunities, such as process reengineering, systems enhancements, and automation.

Business Systems and Data Analysis

Makes recommendations for solutions with a digital-first mindset, ensuring alignment with the overall target operating model and adherence to internal controls. Documents Business Requirements, Change Requests, and any other materials requirement to align business and technical needs for business solutions.

Others

Embraces learnings and best practices from previous experiences to enhance team efficiency and productivity, particularly regarding timeline management and successful project execution. Executes any other duties, projects or functions assigned by your manager.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree Ability to analyze with data-focused insights and systems-thinking for effective transformation. Strong digital and data literacy, with a propensity in data storytelling Flexibility and agility to adapt to new ways of working, including the use of Generative AI.  Problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the drive to deliver change and results. Structured thought process and writing skills to document processes, project plans, and slides. Presentation and engagement skills with a natural ability to influence and inspire. An ability to communicate in verbal and written English with all levels, including management. A passion for people and excellent interpersonal skills. 

Desired Qualifications

Desired, but not compulsory skills and experience. Knowledge of improvement and implementation frameworks (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Agile, etc.) is a plus. Proven track record of successful delivery of transformation programs will be highly advantageous
