Summary The incumbent will serve as a Program Specialist (MTZ) working directly under the Assistant Hospital Housekeeping Officer of the Environmental Management Service (EMS) in the Northern California Health CAre System (NCHCS). The position is located at the East Bay Division (Martinez) and is responsible for providing Guidance and/or advice to achieve effective overall objectives, goals, and policies when dealing with unusual situation in The Quality Assurance Programs(s). Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to: Serves independently as the Program Specialist, also known as the Quality Assurance Specialist, for all internal and external Housekeeping Quality Control Programs of Environmental Management Service Implements overall program management guidance and policy As the Contracting Officers Representative (COR), his/her primary responsibility is to administrate and provide any advice on the housekeeping contractual work involving the development, coordination, and direction of effective hospital housekeeping programs Provides management with concern with the overall quality assurance program, accountability regarding quality, or the technical aspects of training Develops contract surveillance plans in accordance with the Quality Assurance Performance Standards (QAPS) Certifies all aspects of a housekeeping contractor's efforts at satellite locations, recommends to the Contracting Officer any/all recommended changes to increase contractor's efficiency provided to customers. Provides internal supervisors, or contracted services, the surveillance techniques and procedures to use in inspecting the housekeeping operations and determine the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the service or program.
