32Summary:
Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist II also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required - preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field
Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred
Pediatric experience preferred
Child growth and development education required
CPR - BLS within 60 days of start date
CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 completed within 60 days of start date
Note: Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college.
