Program & Staff Development Specialist

The Program and Staff Development Specialist (PSDS) is responsible for developing and implementing a training system that meets all corporate and state-specific training requirements, and maintains all documentation supporting all training hours. The PSDS also serves the organization as a performance consultant for implementing learning into practice. Not only will the PSDS instruct staff in corporate and program-specific courses, but will also revise and enhance corporate curricula as needed. The PSDS must maintain certifications as a CPR & First Aid Instructor as well as an instructor for the currently used method of physical restraint of clients.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required. Masters' degree preferred. Minimum 3 years training experience. Mental Health experience strongly preferred. Strong computer skills, competent in Microsoft Office applications Able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time Able to complete tasks in an organized fashion with minimal supervision Must be able to read, understand, speak and write grammatically correct English. Must be able to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word.
