We have an exciting opportunity to join our team with Regions Hospital as a Burn and Trauma Therapist. This position is a vital and integral part of the burn and trauma team and collaborates closely with Burn and Trauma Center staff. Under the direction of the Manager of the Burn Program and Burn and trauma Program Medical Directors, the burn center Program Therapist will be responsible for:
Providing psychotherapy and mental health assessments, therapeutic treatments and facilitate aftercare referrals and treatment for the adult and pediatric patients in the Burn and trauma programs at Regions Hospital. Evaluate all Burn Service inpatients as well as respond to consults from the Trauma Service and Outpatients from the Burn Outpatient Clinic that need psychotherapy evaluation and treatment.Other responsibilities include:
Establishing a treatment plan that may include coordination with other professional services. Providing consultation and education about behavioral health issues and treatment. Participating in program development. Performing other duties as assigned.Work schedule: FTE: 1.0 (40 hrs. weekly), Day Shift
Required Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree or higher in a mental health profession. (Social Work- LICSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychology.
Experience: Two years of supervised clinical experience with a broad range of presenting problems and therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy and solution- focused brief therapy.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: License to practice independently as a mental health professional in Minnesota: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: Employment in health or mental health setting.
