Programme Facilitator – HMP Northumberland

What we are offering:

• Salary of £29,000
 • Permanent and full-time position

Your Role as a Programme Facilitator:

As a Programme Facilitator, you will play a vital role in delivering accredited offending behaviour programmes within HMP Northumberland. You will facilitate group-based interventions designed to support individuals in addressing cognitive distortions and making positive behavioural changes. The role involves conducting motivational and responsivity interviews, delivering structured sessions, and ensuring all programme standards are met in line with national guidance.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, liaising with Offender Management Units (OMU) and other key stakeholders to contribute to effective sentence planning and rehabilitation efforts. Through your work, you will support individuals in developing pro-social goals, ultimately contributing to reducing reoffending rates and fostering positive change. Essential:

Strong interest in group work deliveryPassion for supporting individuals in addressing cognitive distortions for resettlementAbility to prepare and deliver structured programme sessionsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to use initiative and work autonomouslyCommitment to promoting a positive and inclusive therapeutic environment

Desirable:

Experience in facilitating behavioural change programmesKnowledge of different treatment models and services available to offendersVocational competencies related to offending behaviour
