Our vision at Thurrock Adult Community College is to provide adult education where people have the opportunity to learn, grow and shape their future.
You will manage a relatively small but growing team of 9 tutors delivering accredited and non-accredited English, Functional Skills, ESOL and Essential Digital Skills courses. Thurrock Adult Community College is a good provider, a rewarding place to work and an inspiring place to learn.

The role
To be an outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practitioner To manage and develop a designated portfolio of English, ESOL and Digital Skills courses, ensuring that each and every learner is able to reach their full potential To line manage a team of tutors To maximise funding drawdown through innovative curriculum planning To have a focus on good quality provision resulting in high attendance, retention, and achievement rates. To be ambitious, focussed and work collaboratively with others for continuous improvement in order to contribute to our journey to be outstanding To inspire, motivate and line manage a team of course tutors, making sure that planning, delivery and monitoring of teaching, learning and assessment takes place to the highest standards for our learners. To lead on the cross college working group for Equality and Diversity Key experience and skills Curriculum design and management in adult education Teaching adults Knowledge of AEB funding and its rules Experience of quality management and quality improvement A teaching qualification relevant to post 16 provisionKey information
