Programme Manager
Business Unit: Core Banking
Salary: £59,200 - £75,000 Location: UK, Hybrid, with occasional travel to one of our hubs (Glasgow, Gosforth)

Our Team  The Mortgage & Secured Lending Team is part of Core Banking and Payments Systems, aligned to our Mortgage function, changing and running the technology systems that support our Mortgage customers and colleagues.   We’re looking for a highly experienced Programme Manager to join the team to oversee the successful delivery of a number of key initiatives as we embark on transforming our Mortgage business. Whilst leading and developing a team of talented Project Managers you’ll be responsible for budgets, risk management and will be supporting the definition of our overall delivery roadmap to support business objectives.
  What you’ll be doing Develop economically robust programme road-maps and business cases that will support business strategy. Own and deliver part of the overall Mortgage Change Programme ensuring that solutions align with business, customer and regulatory requirements as well as wider Group controls, policies & procedures. Identifying and securing appropriate resources to work on the programme / projects; defining clear roles and responsibilities for all team members, including specific responsibility for production of all deliverables. Engagement with Senior Stakeholders on a regular basis, including progress reports on current deliveries but also understanding business need for future. We expect you to build a strong and positive relationship with Senior Management through collaboration and transparency. Providing team leadership to Change & Delivery professionals, providing a positive environment to develop colleagues through challenging objectives, feedback and coaching. Management of risk across the domain, including Technology risk as well as project/delivery risks We need you to have Exceptional focus on delivery of business outcomes and benefits. Relevant experience of delivering large, complex projects / programmes or projects within the financial or other regulated sectors. Experience of large scale data migrations would be an advantage, but not critical. Great stakeholder management skills and ability to influence at all levels and locations across the organisation. You will be in regular dialogue with Senior Management. A real ability to manage budgets and financial forecasts. Proven communication ability with a level of skill in the breaking down of complex issues so that they can be easily understood by all levels of stakeholders. Proven ability to motivate and lead a large team of management and specialist technical staff across multiple sites. Ability to adjust decisions or actions when ineffective or due to changing circumstances. Experience of working across different methodologies as we use the right methodology for the right outcome. Creativity and flexibility to challenge the status quo to get things done safely never stop driving to do things more efficiently.
