Complete Description: The State of Michigan is looking to build best of class user experiences across its multiple departments and platforms. This position will lead the effort in bringing both high fidelity and low fidelity mockups to production through standards compliant, semantic code. This position requires an expert level understanding of HTML and CSS and possesses the ability to build reusable and extendable components. All projects will require adherence to both State of Michigan look and feel standards as well as meet the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. This position can work directly with clients and must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience implementing website designs that adhere to usability best practices and Americans with Disabilities (ADA) guidelines is required. Each site is designed to meet the specific business needs of a state agency, while adhering to enterprise-wide eMichigan standards for looks and feel, usability, and accessibility.
