Programmer Analyst

Description We are in search of a Programmer Analyst to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications in accordance with business and user needs. The Programmer Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop efficient and user-friendly solutions. This opportunity offers a long-term contract employment.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain software applications for web, desktop, and mobile platforms supporting organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
• Analyze user requirements to identify and implement technical specifications.
• Write and maintain high-quality, scalable code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Conduct tests on applications to identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other issues.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Improve and adapt existing applications to meet evolving user needs and technological advancements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, code changes, and troubleshooting tips.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in application development to recommend future enhancements.
• Implement measures to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards. Requirements • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira software for project management and issue tracking
• Strong competency in Backend Development, demonstrating the ability to create efficient and secure server-side applications
• Expertise in DB2 Database for managing and analyzing data
• Familiarity with GitHub as a platform for version control and collaboration
• Proficiency in Hibernate ORM for mapping Java classes to database tables
• Experience in AB Testing to optimize website performance and user experience
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies for managing and completing projects in a timely manner
• Proficiency in ASP.NET for building robust, scalable, and secure web applications
• Strong knowledge in CSS for website styling and layout
