Programmer Analyst Python/JAVA (Senior)

The candidate contributes to proposing solutions with a view to optimizing processes and streamlining applications. Through his understanding of needs and his expertise, the developer contributes to evaluating the impact of the chosen solution on business processes and ensures the adequacy of the solution to current needs. He supports business analysts and business partners in carrying out the various tests.

As part of a global financial institution providing services across the globe, we also cooperate closely on a daily basis with our Head-Office and global affiliates to ensure compliance with the regulations in the countries where we operate and to address cross-border regulatory matters.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work in team-oriented environment, developing and supporting anti-money laundering systems in the compliance department.
• Work on a complex project that require expertise in python program and database skill.
• Work closely with business analysts, team members, project leaders to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
• Intensive coding in python language.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Must Have:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related fields (Master’s preferred).
• Programming: Expert in Python (5+ years) and SQL, including database tuning (MS SQL, Oracle). Proficient in Java (3+ years) and Big Data/cloud databases (2+ years).
• Software Engineering: Experienced in defining technical specs, debugging, and troubleshooting applications in financial environments.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving: Skilled in breaking down complex problems, organizing tasks, and delivering effective solutions with great attention to detail.
• Initiative and Results-Oriented: Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and deliver quality results in dynamic environments.
• Risk and Compliance: Strong understanding of risk and compliance management in financial firms.

• Nice to Have:
• Familiarity with XML technologies, statistics, and AML systems is a plus

• Languages: English*, French

• *Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
