PROGRAMS COMPLIANCE ASSOCIATE


HFH’s Operations Team is seeking a Programs Compliance Associate to support our children/youth program operations. We are looking for a detailed oriented candidate with experience in program development. This is an entry level position where you will serve as liaison between several parties.  The position reports to the Senior Programs Compliance Associate and is based out of the Central office with weekly visits to HFH shelters.

Homes for the Homeless operates shelters for families experiencing homelessness in NYC. Our family residences are more than just a place to sleep. Families can make the most of their stay through accessing an array of onsite programs. Many of these programs are also available to people living in the local community. Our goal is to have a positive impact so families can thrive long after they leave our shelters.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Assist Senior Compliance associate to evaluate and assess childcare programs to assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and applicable performance standards.Assist with drafting written programs’ safety checklists.Assist with annual compliance training tracking for all program staff.Assist with annual compliance filings/reports.Conducts monthly classroom observations and provides written reports.Maintain and keep up-to-date comprehensive knowledge of all current SACC/DOE/DYCD regulationsAttend DOE/SACC/DYCD update meetings, maintain up to date guide with program information.Maintain up to date contract information for all programs agencies.Complete weekly background check report updatesAssist with candidate hiring recruitmentResearch program opportunities as grantsLiaise communication with colleges and universities to foster opportunities to create job partnerships with our programs.Other role-relevant duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:   

Bachelors Degree in education, human services or related field OR currently pursuing a degree in education or a related field (preferred)Previous experience working with children in an after school or early childhood program. (preferred)Manages multiple projects effectively; Meets multiple daily deadlines; Prioritizes and organizes tasksAbility to work independently and in a team environmentOrganized & detailed oriented.Excellent problem solving skills.
