Programs Coordinator

The Programs Coordinator shall follow the chain of command of the Norfolk County Sheriff's Office and shall report directly to the Director of Education and Programs.

STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in Creating the Programs Daily Schedule/calendar A Focus on the Offender Management System (OMS) as it relates to Offender participation and movement, including but not limited to creating new classes/programs within OMS, as well as updating Offender Rosters and individual participation on a daily basis; Print out with any notations (room changes/cancellations) on the daily OMS Movement Lists for the Program Officer/Area. Maintain Class Lists and Wait Lists for Programs Attendance Tracking for the Programs Division Using OMS, assist in scheduling inmates for non-weekly movement, i.e. parole and reentry as an example. Coordinate with Institutional Parole when an inmate is mandated to attend a certain class/programs in order to be granted Parole. Provide information to Parole, such as updates as to attendance also providing copies of Program Certificates. Create program completion certificates once an inmate finishes a class. Distribute copies to both inmates, staff and the records department. Constant up to date Filings; Proof and print class rosters for all part time instructors. Documenting Daily Movement issues with enemies. Coordinate to resolve enemies schedules as much as possible so that each person has equal opportunities to come to attend programming; Create the Class Lists based upon Classification results and End of Sentence dates; Input Good Time for the Programs Division. Track monthly statistics for programs division, an example, Number of classes each program has held; Inmate attendance; Number of inmates in that month, completions and the waitlist for a particular month; Create monthly religious calendars along with weekly signup sheets for religious and library services; Statistical tracking of all religious services; Monthly ACA Outcome Measures — Track the outcome measures for each month for Programs and input information from various departments for the Accreditation Department; OMS Super User — Assist Programs and Education when needed with guidance; Support the Director of Education in all efforts of the coordination of Education and Programs. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. The Sheriff of Norfolk County reserves the right to add or delete from these responsibilities.
