In the role of Project Accountant 2, we'll count on you to: Work autonomously on client invoicing, collections management and project budgeting, as well as backup assistance on coding and processing A/P, time sheets, and expense reportsAccurately contract documentation, administration and maintenance, including fee and budget entryWork with section and project personnel to provide timely contract performance data and resolve financial issuesCoordinate the project accounting system within the department and work with technical staff to ensure compliance with contractual requirementsAssist multiple project managers and staff on a daily basisMentor junior project accountants as neededRead and understand client and internal contractsQC/Audit subconsultant invoices and related documentationCoordinate with PMs for document filing in Project Wise and maintain all aspects of document control for projectsSchedule project meetingsCoordinate SBE Mentor Protégé program for various clients including documenting program activities, reporting on program activities and scheduling program activitiesPrepare contracts/amendments using approved company templatesMonitor/track DBE/SBE participation goals including update information in B2G now or other client portalsWork with DBE Liaison updating, tracking uploading documentation in LCP TrackerUpdate invoice/contract log for tracking and use in DBE ReportingMaintain and track project insurance certificates and issue renewals upon requestAssist with prequalification of subs performing field workAssist with processing sub's RTAs (Request to Add) for projectsMaintain action item and decision logsAssists in development of project-specific Quality Management Plans and works in close cooperation with the Project Manager and Task Leads for monitoring and oversight of project quality activitiesWork with the Project Manager in development of project-specific QMPs and verify that QMP is current and up to date including subconsultant documentsMonitor and ensure quality process for deliverables is being followed by project teamOversee subconsultant quality activities and deliverable reviewWork with project team to ensure deliverables are submitted on timeManage quality deliverable schedule, and ensure coordination between design discipline reviewsIn quality management system, schedule project reviews and team meetings and deliverablesAssist with preparing presentations and reports to the clientPrepare agendas, schedule meetings, take notes, follow up with action itemsType, format and organize project documents, reports, specifications and correspondenceExhibit professionalism with clientsComplete tasks autonomously Perform other duties as needed

Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in AccountingFamiliarity with prevailing wage requirementsExperience supervising other financial professionals beneficialRequired Qualifications
Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience Familiar with Earned Value Management Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented Ability to handle confidential information Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $98,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
