HDR has a need for an experienced accountant to join our high-performing Washington accounting team. A hybrid work model will be offered for this position providing the opportunity to work from home two days per week. For the right candidate, this position will present a great opportunity to utilize your strong business acumen in the field of cost accounting and will provide growth potential. As a Project Accountant 2, you will play a critical role in HDR’s operations and develop strong relationships with our technical staff to help our teams and our clients, reach their financial goals. This person will partner directly with our Project Managers to provide contracting and accounting support for some of the most complex and regionally significant projects in the state of Washington, many of which are directly impacting the communities we live in.

In this role, we will rely on you to:Provide effective, efficient, and professional support services to all internal and external customers Team with Project Managers to support pricing and calculate profitability for potential projects Perform project set up and other project initiation tasks Prepare and package invoices with the required Client back up and provide other billing support Assist in AR collection Review and process subconsultant invoices Responsible for records management for accounting and contract related documents and files Assist Project Managers to monitor the financial health of their projects including forecasting cost at completion estimates and planned versus actual budget analysis Provide detailed analysis and reporting on project financial status within HDR’s established accounting system or other developed tracking tools Serve as the centralized point of contact for accounting or contract related questions or tasks Coordinate, track and document Prime Consultant and/or Client agreement reviews with legal department, project team and business group managers Prepare and coordinate subconsultant agreements Perform other, as needed, accounting and contracting administration supportPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Business AdministrationTwo (2) to Five (5) years experienced and with A/E industry

Required Qualifications
Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience Familiar with Earned Value Management Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented Ability to handle confidential information Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
