Description Robert Half is looking for a Project Accountant for a client in the construction industry, based in the western suburbs. The selected candidate will be in charge of various accounting tasks including billing, project accounting, budget tracking, and other duties. This role involves working with Acumatica-ERP construction software, maintaining electronic record keeping, and being involved in project budget set up and support. Responsibilities: • Handle the preparation of billing across various departments such as electrical, scoreboard, crane & hoist, service & governmental. • Utilize and adapt to our Acumatica-ERP construction software to learn the software in detail and challenge our current processes. • Oversee project electronic record keeping to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. • Act as the gatekeeper for project closings, ensuring all requirements are met and paperwork is completed. • Assist in setting up and supporting project budgets to ensure financial accuracy and accountability. • Provide assistance with Purchase Orders (PO) as they relate to receivables and payables to ensure smooth financial operations. • Undertake other ad-hoc projects that might include sales tax related deadlines, and account reconciliations to ensure all financial operations are in order. This role offers a salary range of $65,000-$80,000 and comes with the following benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, life insurance, paid time off, paid sick time, holiday pay.
