The Project Accounting Business Partner will be responsible for owning the Project Accounting module within the Oracle Fusion Cloud environment from a business perspective. This individual will ensure accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of project-related financial transactions while collaborating with technical teams and steering business units to align with best practices and standardisation. Additionally, the individual will be accountable for ensuring appropriate and correct accounting practices are consistently applied across all project-related activities/transactions. The role bridges technical and business functions, ensuring seamless financial integration and optimal use of Oracle Fusion capabilities/functionalities.
Are you someone who can:
Own and maintain the Oracle Fusion Project Accounting module from a business perspective, ensuring its proper configuration by the ERP technical team and functionality.Collaborate with the ERP technical team with regards to configuring and optimising the platform in line with business/organizational requirements.Ensure project-related financial workflows are efficiently integrated into the Oracle Fusion system. Ensure seamless integration of project-related financial workflows into Oracle Fusion, aligning with overall enterprise systems Act as a liaison between the ERP technical team and business units.Provide direction to business units (internal customers) to ensure alignment Oracle Fusion best practices.Support business units in adopting standard system functionalities and processes for project accounting. Deliver timely and accurate reporting on project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and actuals.Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to stakeholders, addressing discrepancies.In conjunction with the Business Intelligence team ensure reports are available to effectively manage and report on projects. Ensure appropriate and correct accounting practices are applied to all project-related financial transactions.Improve and maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and legal requirements in project accounting.Monitor and audit project financials to ensure accuracy and integrity. Possess sufficient technical insight into Oracle Fusion to effectively engage with the ERP technical team and business units, ensuring the platform meets organisational needs.Drive adherence to best practices in project accounting and system utilisation across business units.Identify and lead enhancements to improve system efficiency and business processes Provide support to business users on Oracle Fusion Project Accounting functionality.Support the change management process, ensuring a smooth transition for new users and assisting with troubleshooting and user queriesEquip stakeholders with the knowledge to maximize the platform’s capabilities.Through the support of the Training Team, ensure training capabilities are available and training material/resources are up to date.You will be an ideal candidate if you possess:
Qualification - Degree in Accounting or Finance.Oracle Fusion Cloud certification or training (advantageous)Experience with system implementation, configuration, and process optimization (advantageous)Experience - Strong experience in project accounting, reporting, and ERP systems.Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud Project Accounting module or similar platforms.Adequate technical insight into ERP systems to collaborate effectively with technical teams.Demonstrated ability to influence and steer business units toward standardisation and appropriate best practices.You will have access to:
