Project Accountant
Job Title: Project Accountant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage project invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all contractual elements. You will play a crucial role in auditing financial statements, preparing project performance reports, and managing billing processes. Responsibilities + Invoice project managers on a monthly basis (40-70 invoices) and ensure accurate entry of accounts payable into Deltek Vision with the correct project number. + Manage full cycle accounts receivable; follow up on payments after 120 days and provide status updates on accounts receivable and aging to the Principal. + Audit income statements and balance sheets on a monthly basis. + Monitor job cost variance. + Prepare project performance reports at month end, audit invoices to ensure all billable items are accurately billed. + Conduct weekly bank reconciliations for two accounts. + Manage hourly billing rates and client contracts, ensuring all contractual elements are accurately entered into Deltek Vision 7.4. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Deltek Vision. + 3+ years of full cycle project accounting experience in architecture, engineering, or construction industry. + Intermediate Excel skills including formulas. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the Architecture & Design industry. + 5 years of project billing/accounting experience. + Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantage. Work Environment This is a hybrid role requiring 3-days (Tuesday-Thursday) ONSITE in San Francisco, CA.- You will be working in a gorgeous office with a modern open floor plan, a well-equipped kitchen, and unique architectural pieces. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and within a growing company that is continuously landing new projects. The finance team includes a Controller, a part-time Project Accountant, and a Junior Project Accountant, creating a supportive and professional atmosphere. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
