The Job Cost Accountant will be responsible for: + Prepare monthly billings to clients + Prepare reconciliations of billings to actual costs + Verify and process subcontractor requests for payment + Resolve subcontract queries efficiently and effectively resulting in the development of trust-based working relationships and communication with subcontractors + Communicate non-compliance issues to subcontractors when needed. Actively coordinate in-house resolution when applicable + Prepare and authorize timely payment to subcontractors, mostly through accounting software + Process project related trade invoices; verifying receipt of item or service, sales tax calculations, and appropriate authorization for payment + Provide proactive and responsive internal and external customer service; always aim to exceed your customer’s expectations + Ability to provide analytics or reconciliation (subcontracts, labor reports (including hours, rates, and void) + Assist with audits Requirements + Bachelors Degree + 4+ years in construction accounting – WIP, % completion, tracking equipment, labor, variance reports, budget to actuals for projects, etc. + Strong MS Excel + Spectrum software highly preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
