Project Accountant

Description

Set up projects/budgets in accounting software (fees, billing basis, consultant costs, expenses & etc.) and keep all project documentation filed and organizedPrepare monthly draft invoices for Billing Managers to review and ensure correct contract terms, client information, and overall accuracy are in line with contractual agreements.Edit and generate final invoices with changes from Project Managers/Billing Managers. Review for accuracy, monitor additional services, subconsultant fee, reimbursable expenses, and related activities.Execute departments client billing, monitor ongoing reconciliations, and distribute client invoicing through multiple channelsExecute waivers or any other client requested backup as neededWork closely with Billing Manager in coordinating with the subconsultant invoice review, approval and postingConduct weekly review of all project related payables with AP and the finance and accounting managerMonthly AR review with billing managers and assistance in collectionMonthly WIP review with billing manager – to be reviewed at monthly finance meetingsAssist in billing on major governmental transportation projects (IDOT, Tollway & CDOT)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting (Required)2-3 years of Project Accounting Experience (Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry preferred) Knowledge of Deltek/Ajera (strongly preferred) Familiarity with billing format of IDOT, Tollway, and CDOT (preferred) Critical thinker with an excellent attention to detail Detail oriented and ability to be flexible, proactive, and a strong team playerHighly organized with an ability to multitask and manage various deadlines Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills Proficiency using Microsoft Excel

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
