Description Emily Krous is working with a client to find a Project Accountant in Orangevale, California, United States. As a Project Accountant, you will be managing project budgets, invoicing, and financial transactions related to the project. You will also be working closely with project managers to provide financial insights and recommendations. This is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE. Responsibilities: • Manage and track project budgets and expenses. • Process invoices and oversee project-related financial transactions. • Reconcile project financials in accordance with company accounting policies. • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis for management review. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, particularly in relation to revenue recognition. • Support project managers through planning, scheduling, and monitoring project timelines. • Organize and maintain project documentation, including contracts and change orders. • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, and track action items. • Collaborate with various departments to maintain workflow efficiency. • Assist with internal and external communication to ensure project milestones are met. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry. • Proficiency in AIA Billing is mandatory. • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
